What are the highlights of being an engineer with LogiCamms?
At LogiCamms I am part of an industry leader in engineering solutions with specialist expertise in Automation and Process Control. I also have exposure to a variety of industries in project work and contract work including mining, oil and gas, and water. I value being part of a company that emphasises health and safety of its employees and contractors, and being within a group of individuals that are skillful in many areas and highly professional at their roles. What are the highlights of being in a technical role at a site like Olympic Dam?
The main highlight is that I have an opportunity to work with a global industry leader in resources, at the cutting edge of engineering and project management techniques. Not only am I working on a large scale control system, but I also have exposure to the process flow followed in a world class mining and metallurgical plant. I am gaining excellent experience in large scale turnkey projects through all phases from quotation and planning to implementation and commissioning. In this role I am exposed to a wide range of technical products used in the plant control system and have the opportunity to practice leading maintenance strategies - enhancing my troubleshooting skills.
What about FIFO rosters?
The FIFO roster has its advantages - one is that I am always working with a diverse team of profesionals including Electrical Engineers, Metallurgists, Electricans and Plant Operators. Working on a roster also provides what I call 'rest' days and provides me with an interesting balance of site work and offsite work.
