Why LogiCamms
I started working as a graduate process engineer for Process Essentials in November 2009, who have since become part of the Logicamms group. As a new graduate, gaining practical experience is a critical aspect of your development as an engineer. Logicamms provides graduates with opportunities to get in the field, talk to clients and gain an understanding of the project lifecycle from an early stage. This was the primary attraction for me.
Why this role?
Although the position offered excellent opportunities for travel and on-site experience, I was most impressed by the quality of the engineers with whom I would be working. Since starting work I've received excellent mentoring on a theoretical and practical basis.
Any personal highlights at LogiCamms?
The Logicamms Atmospheric Dispersion Model. I was required to develop a jet flow model to be used by the company for hazardous area calculations. The model was equipped to simulate the release of any gas mixture under either subsonic or sonically choked conditions. This model was particularly challenging as no single source on the subject provided a complete picture of the scenario with all the required variables. Successfully completing this model was very satisfying.
