Why LogiCamms
I commenced with LogiCamms in December 2003. During the previous year I was undertaking tertiary level work experience at Dampier Salt, Lake MacLeod in Western Australia, and I met a current LogiCamms employee and found the work he was doing with PLC’s and CitectSCADA very interesting. I also met one of the current Directors during that time. I was impressed with the guys and the level of professionalism, so I submitted my interest and starting working with the company the following year.
Why this role?
I was originally employed as an undergraduate looking after the company’s internal IT network and databases. What has kept me really happy at LogiCamms are the opportunities I've had for personal growth in working on a range of different projects. I have been involved with IT and computer systems, control systems, electrical design, project management & estimations, electrical construction, site commissioning and R&D projects.

Any personal highlights at LogiCamms?
I actually have three highlights. During my time as a control systems engineer I was on a team that developed PLC and SCADA software and commissioned two coal stacker/reclaimers in Mackay, Queensland. After a lengthy effort and great results, the client asked us to upgrade the software on their three existing stacker/reclaimers. The second highlight was in 2007 when I commissioned an underground crusher and conveyor system for Birla Nifty Copper Mine. The third highlight was more recently in 2009 when I moved into electrical engineering and my first project was to upgrade a hose and power reeler from DOL to VSD control. After a very successful outcome, the relationship I developed with the client resulted in a significant amount of new work for LogiCamms.
