Brian - Control Systems Engineer

Print

Location: Perth

brianWhy LogiCamms?

I started working for LogiCamms in January 2008 as a Graduate.

The real attraction for me was that LogiCamms offers graduates the chance to have significant roles in projects without excessively “nursing” them. It was great that I would be a part of the project lifecycle from design through to commissioning. As a graduate I was given great opportunities to work on big projects with complex control systems - this has enabled me to develop skills and abilities that will set me up as a valuable engineer in the coming years.

Why this role?

I could see that the position offered the ability to work both in the Perth office and across Australia.  Since I wanted to become a well-rounded control systems engineer, this was a real advantage.

What does LogiCamms do best?

LogiCamms maintains a balance between the benefits of a smaller company environment and the strength of a large national operation. A big emphasis continues to be placed on team work and higher management is accessible to all staff when required. The culture of the workplace supports us so we’re able to achieve individual performance goals, which encourages motivation and satisfaction, a high standard of delivery and successful outcomes.

Any personal highlights at LogiCamms?

The Jacinth Ambrosia project. This project involved the electrical, instrument and control systems design and commissioning for a mineral sands processing plant. My role was to programme several critical infrastructure PLC's. This job showed me how a big project can be organised and executed in a timely and effective manner.
